About the show


The Crab Prince is a seaside version of the Grimm Brothers traditional fairy tale ‘The Frog Prince’. Scuttle The Crab longs  to be human. Can little Lucy help to make his dream come true? Should Scuttle The Crab be careful what he wishes for? Meanwhile, Marina The Marine Explorer needs some help to make life in the rock-pools good again for everyone. An original and beautifully crafted comedy show about friendship, home and the environment, with the chance for the audience to help save the day. Art materials provided.

'Jo's Portable Art Department' Presents a brand new show for children.

A comedy puppet show for children aged 4 to 8, with art and making. All materials provided. This is a work in progress and is Pay What You Want on the day.

A mermaid tells the story of Prince Fred who one day magically turned into a stinky, funny-looking crab.The Crab Prince makes lots of friends in the rock pools, many of them even funnier looking than he is. They have a great life together, making up games and having races. Then one day a little child called Sandy comes along and asks the Crab Prince for help. 

At last, the Crab Prince has a chance to break the spell. 

But something is wrong... he needs to get back to the rock pool and only you can help him.

Duration 45 minutes.

Tickets are Pay What You Want but booking is essential.
